STEPHANIE S I'm wearing these same gloves to respond to your question, and yes the tips of the thumb and index have conductive material so that you may use them to operate touch screens such as those found on smart phones. I bought my pair because I was traveling to Peru. I was looking for gloves that would allow me to use my electronic devices without having to take my gloves off, keeping my hands warm. These did the job...perfectly and at a great price. If I had anything negative to say it would be that the size small glove were still a bit too large for my hands. These are unisex sized, so maybe I should have known that. Just consider that when purchasing.
