HEATHER F Technically, you could but it would be a HUGE bag for one person. And a lot of weight to carry. It does NOT separate into two bags, it is ONE bag.
ALEX B The bag is one solid unit. I doubled mine up when I used it solo for extra padding. Its pretty much just a HUGE sleeping bag. I love it. Not for deep woods backpacking as its big even in its stuff sack but Im glad I added it to my gear pile. So more clearly... No. It cant be zipped into two bags. Its just an XXL bag more or less.
RACHEL H No. The zippers on both sides stop a few inches from the bottom.
SHANE K No.It is one piece, unable to fully un-zip. One person could sleep in it however you cant make it any smaller.
ADAM M Yes, you can button to separate the sides and fold under for more padding or enjoy all of the room for yourself if you have the space. Space wise I am 6'2" 300lbs and my wife is 5'2" 100 lbs and we both fit very nicely with plenty of room.
IRIT T Not realy. It's a great double sleeping bag, but for 1 is huge. It could be fine if it's not to cold, and if you don't need to carry it on you.
DIMITRI K The bag does NOT fully unzip to become two separate halves that can be used separately. Zipper stops about a foot from where the feet are.
