CYNTHIA M Yes, they are slip resistant. That was my # 1 reason for getting them. I live on a country dirt road and I walk it to get my news paper and to walk my dogs. I need the ankle support as well as non slip. I have had these for over a year now and I have been in all types of weather. Wet rocks, mud, lose dirt and gravel, up and down hills they work awesome. When these need to be retired I will definitely get another pair. I even got my husband the men's version and he really likes them. I am a heavy gal (215)and I now have heel inserts in them because I have used up the cushion. The shoe is still in excellent condition! I hope that helps.
