Comments about MSR Mutha Hubba Ultralight Tent:
This is a great tent. The steep walls create a lot of usable space for the weight. I like having the doors at the ends of the tent, because all three users can easily access the doors without having to crawl over anyone. This tent can handle a lot of weather. I used it for four nights in a rain forest on kauai, and did not have a drop of moisture anywhere inside the tent despite continual rain. Above treeline in Idaho a few weeks ago, the tent was solid in winds that must have been at least 30 mph with higher gusts. It is well vented to minimize condensation problems even in freezing weather. We have slept three adults in this tent, and at other times two adults and two toddlers, but don't expect to have room for much gear inside with that many people.

Good tent

Basically this is a very good tent, probably deserves better than just the 3 starts I gave it. For me - I had 2 big problems that made me return this tent and order the Black Diamond Vista that I am happy with. Problem #1 - I am 6'4". Can't blame MSR for that. I just couldn't stretch out enough, my short hair was touching one end while my toes were touching the other, couldn't even consider putting my arms above my head while laying down. Problem# 2: This one is for everybody - and it is where the Black Diamond Vista tops the Mutha Hubba. The entrances/vestibules are at the head and foot of the Mutha Hubba. I prefer being able to enter/exit on the sides, making my gear more accessible when stored in the vestibule. Too bad I had to return this one. My girlfriend and I first saw it in use while hiking on the String Lake Trail in the Grand Tetons last summer. We talked to the people that had it and they were very happy - from then we put it at the top of our list. Great tent if you don't mind location of vestibules and you are under 6 feet tall.
