Shopper How many stakes in a kit?

ADAM H There are 8 stakes.
LONNIE S There are 8 Per package and 7-1/2" long. They are incredibly light weight and strong. I have driven them in very rocky soil with no problems. They work good for sand at the beach in low winds but for high winds in sandy soil you would need a longer stake designed for sand.

ROBERT S there are 8 in a package as shown in the picture. They are very tough in all soils but cannot be pushed into most soils by foot because the tops of the stakes cut into shoes.
Cherry S There are 8 stakes in the kit. Depending on how your tent is set up with rain-fly and tie-downs you might want a second set. I started out with one set (an older MSR pack that had 6) because it seemed like overkill to get a whole second set just to replace a few more stakes but these are really good quality stakes and I eventually did pick up another set, this time this particular set which came with 8.
