Also got these for a MSR Zing. The options were this or the Kelty Adjustable poles, I think these are a little more money, and MSR usually doesnt go on sale too often.

Build quality is good and on par with the Kelty Poles. Key differerence is that the Kelty has the adjustable portion of the pole on the bottom, the MSR poles are adjustable from the top.

The MSR top design seems harder to adjust, but would be stronger with the adjustable portion on the top. In the end the Kelty Poles and the MSR ones seem equal in build quality. Get whatever matches your tent or tarp best :-)

I purchased as an addition to my MSR zing. After receiving the poles I know they would work as an alternative to other camping poles I have that are for a non MSR product. Much more sturdy, light weight, and more durable.
