Brandy B How true to size is this product? Should I go a size bigger since I'll be pulling it over another pair of pants? I usually a size S
DENISE C Hi Brandy,
I didn't keep these as I found a lighter pair and I was stingy on weight carrying. I wish I had kept them and YES I would go 1 size larger and hope the inseam does not hang too low.
The pair I took were so thin they ripped while sitting on rocks. I found I was often quickly putting these on/off over shorts/boots. So be sure you can get your boot through the leg part.
I was at Philmont in NM and it got muggy when it rained so as soon as possible I was stripping these off. You will want quick on/off. Even a full button side or at least a 1/2 leg velcro or zip leg would be good. The zippers are heavier and not as comfortableon the thigh so keep that in mind.
Lastly, as you may know, a quick wick liner (mesh-like but softer) and venting areas are really important to wick the sweat when you are trying to hike in the muggy rain and can't stop for a while to switch the pants off.
Happy Trails,
Denise
