Shopper How much does the footprint weigh? How much weight does it save you to not use the tent body and only the rainfly-poles-footprint method?
SunnySports S I am not provided with an exact weight for just the footprint but I would estimate it around 6 oz. As far as bare boning the tent ( just the poles, fly, and footprint) that comes out to weighing 1/ 1.5 lbs and the regular weight with the tent included is about 3.3lbs so you save a pretty good amount of weight.
