(unknown) ( Are these shirts good for Climbing in high altitudes?
CHARLES A Haven't climbed with this or used it at altitude. However, for hiking it is very comfortable, cool, and does a great job of wicking off the moisture. I would recommend it.
BRIAN S I haven't climbed in mine, but the shirt is really nice. Very good for hiking, light weight, dries quickly. It is cut fairly short which I really like, but might lift up if you are climbing.
JOHN C Don't know. These shirts are very thin. One of the lightest I've come across. Excellent for jungles and other humid conditions. I guess it would be OK as a baselayer.
BRIAN C I would say yes. They are super lightweight and wick well. Be sure to have additional layers with you for sudden unexpected weather changes though. The shirts pack up small and they do not get that nasty sweat smell after wearing them for a few days. So the anti-microbial treatment they use must help in some way. Over all a great shirt and typically you cannot go wrong with Mountain Hardware anyway. I use the shirt for hiking, climbing and mountain biking in Colorado and the rest of the west. Its held up well with weekly use.
