Shopper When attaching the gunnison 2.1 pro footprint to the tent poles by means of the grommets, should the footprint be taught? It seems like the grommets are placed to far out on the tethers, resulting in a loose fit.
DOUGLAS B This appeared to be the same with my set-up as well, until I pulled the poles outward away from the tent center. It increased the area inside my tent and took care of the loose fit. I found that I had to spread the poles and immediately stake the tent for this to work the best.
I used this tent this past August on a two-week backpacking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park with my 17-year old son. We enjoyed this great tent every evening. We divided the weight of the tent and carried parts in each of our packs. The tent is rock- solid, well ventilated, and delivered awesome wet weather and wind protection. It is very spacious (for a 2-person tent), very light when divided x 2, and set-up is easy. I am extremely happy with this tent.
Good journeys!
STAN H I have the same tent and footprint and I think this was possibly intentional just to make it all easier to set up.
MATTHEW B Dude just let it ride.
