Shopper I'm trying to decide what to get. Why did you choose this?
VAIDA R I just wanted a larger woman's backpack that wasn't too expensive.
MATT R I origanlly bought a 50 liter pack and when I put it on found that there would be no way I could get all my gear for a 4 day trip in it. I looked until I found this one. It was a great choice. I used it in the Smokey Mtns. on a 4 day trip and loved the adjustability, and pockets. The ones on the hip are the best! Another thing that is really nice about this is that you can get to the middle of the pack from the front side so you don't have to dig through the top to get something in the middle. If I wear this one out, I would get the same thing.
TARA K This was a fairly good pack... It's the only pack I have ever owned so I don't have any other pack to compare it to but I backpacker around Europe for 4 weeks with this bag with out any bruising and i was surprised at how much stuff I could fit... Lots of space... Like with anything else you carry around for an extended period of time... My body began to fatigue from the weight... But this really didn't have anything to do with the pack... The only down side, I wi say, is that I was disappointed that the seams of this pack had not been reinforced... The seams would bulge if you tried to cram too much into 1 pocket... You will need a rain cover... And because of the color... This pack will get dirty...
LINDSEY K I chose this backpack because I will be moving around Europe for the next two years, and I needed a backpack that could hold as much as possible. I have moved twice since purchasing it, and it has held up really well (only a little dirty) despite the abuse received during airline transport. This backpack holds so much that I can barely lift it when I am tired, but it fits well and can be easily adjusted (the great back support is important, too). There are lots of handy pockets, also.
LAURA W I decided to get this one for two main reasons. Number one was the size. It is quite large and I was going to be using it for multi-day backpacking trips and wanted to have plenty of room. The number two reason was all of the separate pockets! I really like the fact that it has multiple separate pockets, it really helps to organize things and gives me room to put things that I need easy access to.
I also really like the fact that the top is removable and can be used as a waist pack for short hikes.
The suspension is adjustable as well, which is nice.
I have had this pack for several months now and have used it numerous times and overall I am quite happy with it. There are several things I would change though.
The front pockets on the waist belt are mesh, which is nice for being able to see what is in there, but they're not very sturdy fabric, I have already torn and had to repair the mesh on mine after stowing my compass which has plastic corners on it in there.
The mesh pockets on the side are divided, which means that you cannot fit a normal sized nalgene bottle in them, which seems rather silly to me. You can put the same sized bottle in the zippered side pouch, but then you have to stop and either take the pack off or have a buddy remove your bottle in order to take a drink. This is not horribly inconvenient for me though as I usually use my camelbak anyway.
The pack itself seems a bit heavy, even when empty, but I think that's a side-effect of the padding, which is really nice to have!
Sometimes when I have the pack really loaded down the shoulder straps seem to sleep a little bit, so I feel like I have to re-adjust the straps on the go a lot.
LETICIA M I need a pack that was big enough for a 1 month trip to India and Nepal. I have been back and it did take the abuse of transportation in both planes, taxi's, and trains in both India and Nepal. However, I have another pack and the frame is much better, but for the cost this worked out for my trip. I was able to pack a lot of things in this pack and be mobile. I am about 5'3" and weight 125.
EVA D I needed a backpack that would hold my diving equipment, clothes and shoes so it needed to be light and roomy. This one is great. After a 3 week trip in Asia, I can tell you that it's so comfortable to carry, it has so many pockets and details that make it so easy to use. I love how it feels on my back and shoulders. It's very well designed for women. Definitely a great buy.
