Questions about this item:
Shopper Why Did You Choose This?
JASON G Perfect for my twenty degree bags
SHIRLEY C I chose it because I wanted a nice container for my sleeping bag, but I gave it away.
RICHARD R to fit TNF Elkhorn; should have choosen Large size, Med too small but will use for clothes.
KEVIN D good stuff sac. i have had it a few years now and still works great
DOREEN E Purchased for trip to Mount Kilimanjaro. Packed clothing in these bags before adding to my North Face Base Camp XL Duffel. Purchased to assist with space and organization. Worked great!
CHUN YUN C Good price, good collection of different sizes, packed small.
Shopper Is the compression sack waterproof?
JIMI S I believe it has gotten wet before, but I usually keep it packed inside my pack to avoid this potential problem in the elements.
SCOTT W To check this, I put mine under the faucet and ran water on it. The water beads up and rolls off. So, yes, they seem to be water proof. However, if the stuff sack fell in a lake, I am sure water would get in the opening.
ROBERT W It is water resistant
KEITH E The one I bought wasn't waterproof
JASON G Nope. It's pretty resistant to water but certainly not waterproof. I usually keep my sleeping bag in this to get it down to size then throw it and other "dry things" in a waterproof bag inside my pack.
CHUN YUN C No, they are not
Shopper I have a kelty callisto double sleeping bag with the xlarge fit the sleeping bag in it?
Zack W The stuffed size for the double sleeping bag is: diameter: 15", length: 30". The x-large Stuff Sack is - 11 x 22 in. I wouldn't recommend that. Enjoy it! Zack.
Shopper what size should i take for a kelty regular size with 80" / 203 cm/?
MICHAEL W I went with the large size stuff...it compresses very well...tight, bulges a little bit out of the sides but I has saved room in my pack. I'm 6'0 and my bag is I believe 6'2'. hope that helps!
Shopper Ihave a kelty eclipse 30 regular size, its too
bulky and i want to compress it very tight
so that i have room on my pack..
Please help me what size gonna fiit?
SHIRLEY C SunnySports contacted me to ask about the Kelty compression stuff sack that I purchased in 2009. I no longer have that item, so I must not have liked it.
I purchased a Sea-to-Summit compression bag, though, size small, that works like a charm. I use it for a down mummy bag. The sleeping bag is small, but there seems plenty of room left in the compression bag to 'squish down' a larger bag. But Sea-to-Summit also has larger stuff bags. Good Luck on your purchase, Shirley
Zack S If i buy the Kelty Mistral 0 degree regular size sleeping bag what size compression bag do I need?
JASON G I use a 20 degree Mountain Hardware Pinole bag with the medium Kelty Compression Sack (8x15) and it has another couple inches to stuff. I think a quality, 0 degree bag would fit without any issue. The small, orange sack (6x12) is big enough for a full change of clothes and the large, green(10x18) is plenty big enough for a bag, pillow and more. The material is fairly water resistant but not waterproof on all of them and they pack away very well in the built in pocket. Be careful pulling the compression straps to sharply as they will break off but are easily sewn back if needed, Kelty sacks are great and hold up well. I own a bunch of them.
FRANCIS M Zack,
I would recommend the Extra Large, because that's what I use for my Slumberjack Latitude 0 degree bag. Slumberjack says my bag has a compressed size of 11"x17 - and, with the Extra Large sack, i have a good bit of sack yet to cinch down before I can't compress my bag any further. And, I did a little research for you on Kelty's site. They say that the compressed size of your bag is 12"x24", and given that the Extra Large Compression Sack is 11"x22" - I feel that given a little bit of labor and "stuffing" on your part, that your bag should be able to compress down in the sack further than the 12"x24" dimensions that Kelty specifies. So, yes, definitely - based upon what Kelty says and my own experiences - I say get the Extra Large. You should be able to compress it down tight as a drum and hard as a rock with relative ease.

CHUN YUN C Normally you need a bag with 15 L (size M or larger than that)
and up capacity for a synthetic sleeping bag, 6 L and up for a down bag.
Shopper I have an older slumberjack aurora sleeping bag. It"s a +15 degree rating with a fill weight of 2.5 pounds. The size of the current stuff sack is about 9x19. What size compression sack do I need and about how small with the bag compress to?
SunnySports S Our SKU KLTCSS in the Small would work fine!
Shopper I was interested in purchasing a couple of compression bag to tie down on the back of my motorcycle. Are these compresssion bags waterproof ? Thanks.
SunnySports S No these are NOT Waterproof. Take a look at the Outdoor Research HydroSeal Pack Sack, these are waterproof & come in several sizes. Our SKU KLTCSS
