Hello I was looking at the High Sierra Long Trail 90 or Kelty Red Cloud 6650 packs. Please let me know which bag has better sholder straps; better padding, and better back support. Also if you think that there is something better in the same price range please let me know.
Thanks
Bosko
They both have excellent back support and padding. However, if you plan on using this pack in really rugged conditions, I might lean a bit more towards the kelty.
Where can I get a hydration reservoir/tube? How much?
I was just wondering if there are two openings to the main compartment? So that you can get in from the top as well as from the bottom.Thanks.
This pack has top, bottom and front access points!
I'm going to New Zealand for a semester with NOLS, we'll be doing backpacking and mountaineering. I stand only 5'6 with about a 32 inch waist. Is this pack to big? I need a big pack for the NOLS trip.
Waist belt size - to 36"
Torso fit - 17" to 21"
If you don't know how to measure your torso:
Using a flexible tape measure, measure the length of your torso from the C7 vertebra (at the base of your neck) to the spot on the spine level with the top of the bony hip structure called the iliac crest. Do it two or three times to get an accurate measurement. If you are between frame sizes, always go with the smaller size.
