This is a great pack for the money. It is comfortable, carries enough for a long weekend or extended stay. The top load is good with double draw strings. The inside of the main compartment is designed for a water bladder with a port for a drinking tube. The straps are comfortable and have a cell phone/GPS holder attached. The waste belt is comfortable. The pack material is a rip stop type.

The top section serves for small items and keeps the main pack compartment secure and semi-dry. The best feature of this pack is the loop on the outside of the pack that can be tightened to hold a tent or sleeping mat. The lower compartment has two (2) zippers and holds a fair amount of small items. The lower ties on the bottom of the pack serve for either a tent or sleeping pad. On the lower straps they are not easily tightened , but this is a minor criticism of an all around great pack,. I have taken this on numerous outings and hikes and have found it to be very serviceable.

I hiked the Kissimmee river in the summer, so it was hot and wet. It had enough space and straps for my tent and pad. It was about 40 pounds, and sat perfectly all on my hips. It needs at least one more zip pocket and softer shoulder strap material and padding. Overall I highly recommend this bag

This bag, is perfect for a day or multiple day adventure, about midsize in my opinion. As a Mountain bike rider, this will be useful for overnight/camping trip as well. So far, I didn't see any weakness and hoping not to see one.
