will this bag fit under the seat in front of me on the plane or will it have to be stowed?
JAY B Either the backpack or luggage will fit under the seat, I think, but not both zipped together.
STEPHEN B Not sure - I just put it in the overhead (fits very easily into even a small overhead space). Probably, with backpack removed (or not filled), it would fit under the seat.
JOEFF W In general, I would say it would not fit under the seat in front of you. It would need to be stowed overhead. it may if you did not use the backpack and the main compartment was not overstuffed.
MARY H Day pack can be stowed in front. The rest has to go above.
SUSAN R The zip off backpack easily fits under the seat, the "wheelie" part fits in the overhead bin. On a small plane the wheelie part may need to be gate-checked. I carry the backpack as my small carry-on and the wheelie is my other carry-on. We have traveled extensively with these and never need to take any other luggage, even for trips longer than 2 weeks to Europe. Mine is about 3 years old and still in great shape, I consider it the perfect piece of luggage.
ROBERT P i always put it overhead, it is the size of normal carry on. back pack portion makes it even thicker.
