First Name L How long does it take to boil water? And capacity?
H.B K it converts to 6.1 quart . as far as time to boil I use it at 7600 feet or more elevation. And water boils faster at that elevation .It as also depends on heat source a coleman stove about 6 minutes the smaller hiking stove up to 15 or more. Its really why I bought it was to save time and fuel usage.
RANDY K This is a big, tinny almost military like camp meal pot, gallon and one half, but can be used for smaller half gallon (two quart) meals too.. Boil time all depends on you elevation, stove type, amount of water and food and even the amount of salt in water. Expect five minutes maybe less with two quarts of water and food on a typical stove at average elevation. Pressure cookers are used world wide, more so in places like Europe and Asia than America because they are the most energy efficient and quickest way to cook most foods. Americans will eventually catch on to pressure cookers, quit being scared and intimidated by them, as a quick way to make healthy meals....
ROBERTO C I bought it for a gift. Sorry I can't answer your question at this time.
