For those who have cooked on cast iron on a campout all their lives, and sceptical to using an aluminum dutch oven - I was there. Until I used one!!! These alum dutch ovens are amazing. Cooks very evenly and easily, cleans up like a breeze. We use them in Boy Scouts and have no troubles. I would highly recommend this to anyone cooking outdoors! The only draw back is the aluminum does not stay warm as long. Your meal inside will cool down a bit faster than cast iron, which holds heat for a very long time. Still, super item!!!
