Shopper what is the volume of the sleeping bag section?
KURT S I can't tell you the exact volume, but I could fit my Big Agnes Grouse mountain in there and it fits perfectly. Big Agnes says the pack down size is 8"x7". Also the sleeping bag compartment is sort of optional on this bag, because you can open it up from the inside and stuff from the top to the bottom. Inside there the top is canvas and it hooks creating a shelf, which you can just unhook. It's a great bag and don't be put off by the weight. It carries like a dream.
