Comments about eGear 5 in 1 Survival Tool:
Compass works surprisingly well (I was concerned about this since it was so cheap), there's a tiny mirror on the inside of the cap that's a bit of a joke but better than nothing, a tiny flint on the side, and the the case is truly waterproof, keeping your matches safe. I didn't try the whistle since I didn't want to alarm any other campers when I was out in the backcountry, but it seems standard enough. Hopefully you'll never actually need this stuff in an emergency, but it's small, light and cheap enough that there's really no reason not to always keep it in the pack you use whenever you head out.

Very Loud Whistle

Not much to it. It's just as it says,"A waterproof matchbox." But the compass and signal mirror are pretty cool extras. I had expected a underpowered dinky plastic whistle. And was surprised by almost bursting my eardrums. 'Whistle For Emergencies Only'
