Jasvir K Is this backpack good for day hiking AND overnight? I am in a hiking group and we have weekend hikes (day+night+day). I;m not taking about the hydration bladder. Is the capacity enough? Thank you
PANDORA B The capacity is decent size. You can fit all of your suppliers and possibly even attach a sleeping back to the outside.
JULIE T Great pack..! very light and useful. It is perfect for either summer hike or winter hike. Lots of space for food, jacket, camera, hiking poles..ect. Bladder is awesome..3 litters and still have pocket outside to add a few more gatorade. I am happy.
JIN C Hi i went on a full day trip and it was just fine! For an overnight trip, i should say this pack is enough yet it wont have a room for a tent! And def it's too small for a whole wkd trip...
For you, id recommend something around 45liter~
SCOTT A I used my Highwire Hydration Pack for Bonnaroo. If I would have used it for a hike of 2 days and 1 night I think it would have been large enough to carry everything I would have needed.
You could easily fit:
One change of clothes
Snacks
Basic Hygeinie Needs
and 100 Oz of water
It would not be good if you need to carry cooking supplies
MATT C I can fit a change of clothes, socks, gloves and winter hat. I have only used this on day hikes so I haven't put a sleeping bag in there but you probably could. I also has two pouches on the waist straps that I keep my phone and wallet in when I hike. Its very comfortable as well
PATRICK K It is right on the borderline of being just enough or not quite enough for an overnight. For instance, it probably won't hold a bear canister. It held my clothes, half of the tent, mess kit, trowel, and hammer on the inside. I had to strap my sleeping bag and pad to the outside. If you can split up the load, it is doable. If you are on your own, you would have to be an ultra-lightweight backpacker to the extreme for it to hold your gear.
FANTASTIC for day hiking for sure.
