I live in Tucson and I can put ice and water in the bottle in the morning, run errands in the car, and the water stays cold (although the bottle may be hot!)all day long. I did buy the blue stainless steel insulated bottle from another site and had to return it because it would not keep the water cold. (Did a side by side comparison with my old one to make sure I wasn't imagining that it wasn't as cold) I think there it was a manufacturing issue because this is my third insulated bottle and I have not had any problem with those. The only reason I replaced those previous bottles is because the first one was lost and the second one I dropped so many times, that the lid would not seal properly and started to leak. I have purchased this bottle for a couple of friends and they love it too. Buy the silver stainless steel bottle and you will not be disappointed!
