Kenny A Male 5' 10 175 Female 5'2 160. logging trails and open fields what sizes for Atlas 10?
AMBER S Kenny, the 10 30's would be a good fit for you with a pack up to 40-50 lbs or so. For your female companion, the 10-25's would be ok if you're dead set on matching, otherwise Atlas makes the Electra series that are designed to perform better with the specific gait and stride of a woman's frame. Might research those before you purchase
IAN S I live in the Northwest and we have lots of powder. I ordered a size up from what is recommended by the manufacturer. I would rather have slightly larger snowshoes on some days than be sinking almost knee deep into powder on other days.
Also, don't forget any gear you will be carrying when calculating your weight.
If I were your size and weight I would personally select the 30" shoes.
For women's I would suggest 27" in the electra or a 30" in mens. I got my wife the mens 30" she likes them and is the same weight.
Larger shoes weigh more on your feet and can tire you out slightly quicker but if you have powder or ungroomed trails I think you wear out quicker when you sink in too deep.
JOSEPH R Altas could better answer that question.
