We use these for paddling around in our open top kayaks in the bay. I like the drip guards but they prevent use of the kayak's paddle holders. They don't have padded hand grips which would be nice to keep hands from slipping. But for the price this is a great product, quite sturdy, and they get the job done.

We bought 20 of these paddles for our kayak rental business. Within a couple of weeks, 2 of them broke on their first use. They are very weak where the paddle snaps together. We warn every renter to go very easy on these paddles. Absolutely do not push off with these paddles. They will break easily.
