I used the pack on a long day hike. It worked great. I like the division of inside compartments and the number of outside pockets. Since I carried most of the food for a group of 7 as well as an extra layer of clothes, I really appreciated the padded hip belt and light weight of the pack. My only disappointment is that I wanted a bit more capacity. I travel a lot and use a daypack to carry my 17" computer and large Nikon camera plus craft supplies and reading material. I don't think this pack has the capacity for all that.

I primarily purchased this to use with my motorcycle along with traveling. Thus far, it had been a gem and provides me with exactly what I need.

I love it. Great price. Super backpack, lightweight, held what I needed to hold in a light, compact package. Zippers and buckles are small and lightweight, which makes them slightly harder to use, but that comes with the territory of an ultralight backpack. Carrying my 8 pound laptop it felt twice as light as my normal North Face Surge backpack, which is full size with tons of pockets.

Angstrom gets my vote for when you want light, compact, and clever design!
