Ashley C Has anyone had issues with shedding?? I know this type of fleece is prone to it.
LAURA M No problem with shedding. I do not put it in the dryer and just air dry it. It still looks like new a year later.
KIMBERLY L I've had this coat for over a year and it hasn't ever shed on any of my clothes.
YVETTE H Yes, both of mine did before washing. Very mininal but alot in the car frob the rubbing of the seatbelt. After a couple of washings though it stopped. There aren't any holes or noticeable worn areas from shedding though if your worried about that.

KATE P MY GRANDBABIES HAVE HAD THESE, AND I JUST GAVE MY DAUGHTER THE FIG COLOR GREEN, SHE WEARS LOTS OF BLACK . HASNT COMPLAINED ABOUT SHEDDING AT ALL. I WOULDNT THINK ANYTHING BY NORTH FACE WOULD HAVE AN ISSUE, UNLES ITS ONLY AFTER THE FIRST WASH. HOPE THIS HELPS.

I would go with a medium. You would have room to layer. I am almost the same size and I wear medium. Hope this helps!
ANNA W I would go with a medium, it runs kind of small, especially if you don't want a tight jacket
KELLEEN N A small would fit you fine. I'm 5'4" and also have a small frame, however, I got a medium. The sleeve length is perfect and is a little loose but in no means too big. Just depends if you'd prefer it more fit to your shape or a little roomier.
BAO Y i would suggest you get a medium because i am the same as you small frame and small chest and i got a small and it was very tight still.
DEBBIE P Hi! My daughter is 5'3' and has a small frame, but long arms. This jacket will only fit her for probably the rest of this year and I got her a ladies medium! It fits great now, so I would think you'd be safer with the medium for sure!!

CINDY G I think it would be a good idea to go with the medium. I own several north face jackets and I am 5.5" and 130# and normally buy the large. It fits just right with enough room to move around it.

Ashley C How does the sizing run? Too big or too small, just right? I'm 5'3", around 118 lbs, small in the chest and shoulders. I wouldn't want the jacket to be tight but I don't want it hanging off me either.

IRIS C I love this jacket...I say it is true to size....if you are wearinf it over something heavy I would probably size up. Otherwise I would buy my regular size. I have it in the white...beautiful.

WENDELYN P I bought this jacket for my college daughter in black. She absolutely loves it because she wears it all the time. I got the medium as she is about 5'4" 125 and it fits nice without being too bulky and it also fits under her TNF rain shell.

LINDA K I have this jacket in baroque purple and is a rich, true purple. Similar to a jewel tone purple. I goes great with gray accessories!
Carole I How well does this jacket work in the winter, does it keep you warm?
TRACY G Well this is a warm fleece jacket, so it's good for temps as low as the 40's. My daughter loves this jacket; it is very comfy and fits her well, however, we live in Michigan so she will use a ski jacket in the winter months and perhaps layer this jacket underneath on very cold days.

DAVID D It is a warm jacket, but definitely not a winter jacket. My wife has actually wore it under a large winter jacket so when we go shopping, to visit someone, etc, she can remove the larger jacket and just wear her Osito. She wears it around the house all the time and it feels like a big soft teddy bear. The jacket is so so soft.
My wife loves it, it is not a winter jacket, but it is a warm lightweight jacket. I do not think you would be disappointed unless you really want a heavy winter jacket.
BRITTANY S This jacket is good for temperatures in the 40s and 50s if you're wearing long sleeves underneath.

My oldest step daughter steals it and wears it around their house because it's so chilly (older home) and now she wants one. They love the feel of it.
LINDA K The NF Osito Jacket is very warm! The fabric is soft and cozy, like a warm blanket. I was very surprised at how warm it was as I initially thought it would be more of a trendy jacket than a warm one. It is very warm and good on windy days too!

MARI L It depends on where you live. In the southern states, it will be fine. In the very cold states, it won't last you all through a really cold winter.

ELIZABETH P My daughter requested this jacket because it is perfect for school and is not too heavy. She uses it as a jacket when the temperatures outside are above 40 Fahrenheit. Since it is not a very warm jacket, I wouldn't recommend using it in the very cold.
