KATHRYN D I also use this as a light jacket. I love the fit and the length. It is a great jacket to take on trips... I took it on spring break and wore it with a light hoodie in the cooler evenings. It rained hard one day and I was so glad to have it with me!

DAYNA T Yes, the coat is made primarily to serve as protection from rain - it has no extra lining for warmth. However, it is a VERY good raincoat with great coverage for hips, upper legs, head, face, etc. I wore mine for long walks in cold weather with extra layers underneath for warmth. I can now wear in warmer weather by itself. So for me, it was just what I needed.
