Shopper How warm are these and how do they compare to the $100.00 pair?
MARYANN P I have never bought a $100 pair of gloves! Even paying $40.00 was a lot for me, but I decided to go with these because I was going on a winter vacation for the first time in Northern Vermont and the last thing I wanted was for my hands to be cold. These gloves are great! They are almost TOO warm! I wore them at night while snowshoeing down a 3000 ft. mountain and I actually took them off because my hands were sweating! I have fat fingers and the gloves did feel a bit tight, which I didn't like, but other than that they did the trick! Used them when dog sledding, snowmobiling, etc. (I don't ski). Temperatures were in the low teens, but I am positive these would be good in below 0 temps. These were the best price I could find for mittens that I felt would keep my hands and fingers warm enough. I do recommend them. Don't spend $100! That's crazy!
LEAH T These are the warmest gloves I've ever owned - warmer than Goretex, leather, etc. The only time my hands have ever been cold was in a wet white out towards the end of the day.
JENNIFER Y I can't answer as to how they compare to the $100 pair- however, I bought these specific mitts to take on a recent trip to the Antarctic. I found that they were completely waterproof and extremely warm. I actually used them as my 'back-up' pair to use when my thinner gloves (for taking photos) weren't cutting it. I would highly recommend, but definitely size up if you plan to use a glove liner!
