ELIJAH W The rope is essentially a square tarp with a drawstring and two handles. You can drop your rope on the tarp, sort wrap it up and pull the drawstring, and carry it around by the handles (duffel bag style), but it's not the best thing out there. I'd reccomend buying a rope bag unless you plan on packing your rope inside a pack to the crag and using the bag it comes with merely as a rope tarp. The bag it comes with isn't really practical for carrying rope more than 20 feet to another route, and doesn't seal well enough for me to be comfortable keeping my rope in it.

AUSTIN T For canyoneering rapelling, you should probably look at a static rope and one that stays more dry. Otherwise for generic rapelling, sure this rope would work fine.

ELIJAH W I haven't used it for rappelling just for the sake of rappelling, but it runs smoothly through ATCs and other belay devices. If you hangdog on it for a while, you'll notice a slight kink where the rope was weighted and bent through the ATC, but it works its way out after a few minutes.
