Comments about MSR Flotation Tails For Lightning Snowshoe - 5 In.:

I have been trying to snowshoe for the past 7 years, growing up in Colorado I snowshoed just about every weekend and thought that it would still be a great form of exercise since I now live in one of the greatest areas in the state for snow.
The problem is..... I am 6'5" tall and 315 lbs. ran into the same problems when I was looking for a good trail bike. It is just harder for a big person to find gear for most ANY recreational activity.
The list of shoes I have tried is fairly short, but EXPENSIVE. This year, my prayers were answered with these extentions.
I purchased these at the same time I purchased the MSR Axis shoes(both from Sunnys). It has given me a 35 inch shoe with no loss of traction, it has been GREAT. I understand that it will fit all of the MSR axis and lightning model shoes, very easy to put on and take off(I tried it in the field with mittens on, easy enough. Though I doubt I will ever be taking them off) truly a boon to anyone who wants to move off the beaten path.
