Shopper Do these provide a lot of support? I carry a lot of weight daily.
Would they make good backpacking boots?
Do they last?
ROBERT H Wore mine down to the bottom and back out of the grand canyon in one day with no issues.These are great boots and I own 6 pair .(bought 2 more after the grand canyon,mt humphreys,east baldy trail, and wrightson hikes.)
JOEL E I am a carpenter who wears a tool belt every day and I use these boots as my work boots. I like them a lot they are light weight and durable. They generally last me around a year, but that is 40 plus hours a week of use. I think they would mak a nice backpacking boot.
PHIL P Yes they last. They are great for hiking and walking. I have been wearing this same type of boot for 20 years. I order 2 or 3 pairs at a time. The support is great. I have back problems and I can wear these boots all day which I do to keep my back from hurting. If you wear them everyday all day in about 6 to 8 months they start to break down but they still wear well. I hope this helps.
