Shopper how big is the door opening do you think we could fit a picnic table in it when we are camping?
CRYSTAL C I would not advise moving a heavy picnic table inside 'cause it might damage the floor, but the doorway is ample and using it as a screen room or "dining hall" is definitely an option using lighter folding tables. I got it for my 6'2 partner so he wouldn't have to stoop. We camp with a queen size bed--it takes about half the total room, with room yet for a card table & 2 chairs & all the gear without feeling cramped. Seems pretty well made, especially for the price. Had mine a couple of years now, and its held up well.
KENNETH D You could probably fit a picnic table in, but would need to turn it sideways going through the door, unless the table folds. I would recommend protecting the tent floor from any table/bench/chair legs.
The tent has lots of light and good visibility through the low-cut roof vent screens and large windows. Excellent ventalation, too. I haven't tried putting a table in mine (yet) but seems like a good idea.
I've had my Katahdin for almost 18 months now and have used it on several trips in hot weather, cold (by Texas standards) weather, and wet stormy weather. It's a very nice and verstile tent.
