Mike S How well did it work? Were you happy with it?
I've heard that you have to play with the main poles a little and to obtain a tight secure set up on all sides the poles may not exactly line up straight with the sides / seams otherwise making it feel a little shaky if not staked down. Have you experienced any of this? Thanks for your time, just trying to decide weather or not to buy it. I have a great Eureka Equidome tent that's in it's 18th year of service thi syear so I know it's a good brand , just a little nervous about the pole thing is all. Any help would be greatlly appreciated.

ROBERT F I have never had any problems with the main poles. Since the poles have to line up with the clips that hold up the tent (It is exterior supported) you have no choice but to do it correctly. Putting it up is a two person job though.
You still have to stake it down or the tension of the supports will lift it off the ground.
I was having a problem with condensation until I started staking out the side flaps instead of just tying them against the main body of the tent. This prevented moisture and allowed fresh air to flow even in a heavy rain.
Keep the flaps tight and the rain will flow off.
For the main entrance, stake it very low and tight with enough space to exit and enter and the rain will flow off there also.
You will love the room. It is 12x12 and very sturdy.

SYLVIA W We love our Northern Breeze Tent. We purchased it 3 years ago when we had company visiting in May, not the best time to go camping in the Pacific Northwest. This shelter kept us warm and dry through a 3 day monsoon. We had no trouble with the poles, although we learned to always stake it down, because it quickly converts to a sail in windy conditions. The only issue we've had is with the storm flap over the front door. It's difficult to set up so that it doesn't drip through the zipper or collapse from the puddle of water that collects. It takes some effort to put up, best with more than 1 person. I love the roll-up sides that let fresh air and sunlight in and its plenty big to fit over a picnic table with room for a cookstove at one end.It has made even the soggiest trip bearable. We never go car camping without it.

My wife and I are 64 and 65 yrs, young and camp a lot !!
This tent for us is simple to set up, and under 40 mile gusts has not blown in or down.
When assembled before staking the tent is rigid enough to move around.
We purchased 2 sets of poles from Eureka for the flaps to open the entire unit except one side ( to allow for privacy) .
Many people stop and ask about it .
It can get warm inside in summer because of the noseeum screen , but for the most part "you get what you pay for".
And after checking price - SUNNY SPORTS.COM WAS THE BEST!!

Product name and reliability are the main reason I bought it. Screened tent is very sturdy and reliable. Have you had no problems with it. Would not say you have to play with the polls just adjust the bottoms out a little bit to make it more secure. As with any screened tent it has to be staked down or becomes a parachute in the wind. I am very pleased with it and would recommend you buy it.
LAURA H We really like the shelter, and use it every time we go camping. It was pricey, but worth it I think. We tried a couple different comparable brands, but returned them. We haven't had any issues with sides or seams pulling.. we did have this problem with a different brand (the hawaiian sounding one, can't remember the name) but haven't had that issue with this particular shelter. It should be staked every time you use it, though, because the wind blows through the netting and can pick it up if it gets windy enough. We love it because it's nice and tall and roomy, good for a family or tall people!
BARB L Mike: I use the Eureka Shelter only once a year at a festival where the family camps, thus, I have not had extensive experience. It is not easy to set up well and it does seem shaky, especially in wind or rain. We do stake it down. It's been fine for us, but as I look at other shelters at the festival, some seem tighter and also look easier to set up. That said, we use it and it works for us with a large size group to feed. If it had it to do over, I'd look around and see what else there was to serve our purpose.

I asked my husband & he says he has no problem with set up but it does take 2 people to set it up or it would be a pain by yourself. Otherwise, he loves it & has no problems!
DAVID A We use it in a wilderness setting in Minnesota and are very happy with it. Because of passing storms and unpredictable winds while we are out and about, we always stake it down. We've had one pole tie come loose from the tent, and it was an easy repair.

We love our Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House. It is very sturdy & my husband says it's easy to set up. I don't think he's had any issues with it.
I know it's a bit more expensive than other screen houses, but it is really worth it. You can add a piece for the floor & snap it in if you want to use it for a tent too. All of the sides can be let down for security or up as an awning. We leave our's set up at a local campground all summer & go up on weekends. We like to be able to secure all the sides down while we are not there. Hope this helps. I don't think you will be dissapointed at all with the Northern Breeze. We would buy another one if we need to!
