Questions about this item:
Shopper Does this tent include duffel and bag for stakes? What size ground cloth should be used with this?
WALTER C Hi; first I love my tent I wanted a tent that I could stand up in to change clothes and store my gear, second there is a bag for stakes.
Third I use a 6 mil plastic sheet ground cover cut to the shape of the tent this keeps the bottom of the tent cleaner. I also use a thick moving blanket for the inside tent floor, keeps my feet warmer and can be washed after returning home.
So far I have had 6" of snow on it , rained for 2 days in less then 40 degree weather with no problems.

DAVID H Yes, duffel and stake bag are included. This is by far the coolest family tent I have ever owned. It's HUGE! My adult kids call it The Death Star. But, I wouldn't give for it because it's awesome!
JERI M I love this tent. Bag include. Great for hot or cold weather
SCOTT H Yes, it comes with the two bags, and it fit back in rather nicely. The tent is 9 foot square, go from there on your ground cloth. I would not want it sticking out to the rain fly, or some night you will think you are walking on water.
LONNY B Yes, awesome duffel and bag for stakes! 9'x9' will work.
JEANINE W The tent comes in a matching drawstring bag (same color as the tent) and the stakes also have a bag to contain them. As for a groundcloth, I was looking for a 9x9' groundcloth, but never found one. The basic footprint of the tent is 9x9' but if you want the front and back flap areas covered by a groundcloth also, I would add another 3' for each end, for a total area of 9x15'. As for me, I used a roll-up bamboo pad for the front and back entrance area. It was perfect to wipe our feet on and to leave shoes, lanterns, etc., outside official tent area.
DARREN C There is a small bag that holds the stakes and the poles and there is a bag that then holds everything. I am not sure about the ground cover cloth size.
SUSAN W Yes, there is a small bag for the stakes.
The tent footprint is 9x9, excluding the vestibules. I use a 10x12 ground cloth. This allows me to tuck under the sides, and to have enough to put a dry floor in the rear vestibule to use it for additional storage. I also got a 10x10 canvas tarp to use as supplemental flooring on the inside. I ordered it on line and am tempted to ask them to custom make a 9x9, just for ease of installation.
THOMAS H Includes bags and requires a 9 x 9 ground cloth.
JOHN F Yes there is a bag for the stakes. The tent is 9 x 9 so any ground cover that will come close to this will work. I use an 8 x 8 tarp from Menards simply because it was on sale & the 6" on each side didn't matter. Rather be a little short than over extend the tent in a rain & havewater collect under the tent.
PATRICK M Yes, the stakes have a separate bag, as do the poles, everything rolls up in the Tent and Fly and then is placed in the storage bag/duffel.
I believe my ground tarp is a 9' x 12' and I place the 12' length from front to back so as to have the ground tarp as a front porch under the front vestibule. I then place a remnant of i/o carpet over it for taking shoes off before going in the tent. You rarely have issues with a Eureka product, this has been a good buy for me and my Son.
CHRIS J 1. The tent includes a main tent bag (not a duffel bag) into which all items fit, a stake bag and a pole bag.
2. The tent is 9' x 9', but I made (2) 8'-9" x 8'-9" ground clothes (one for underneath, one for inside to protect the floor). If you cut them the exact size of the tent floor, rain can run off the tent sides and drip onto the exposed ground cloth edge and emd up between the tent floor and groundcloth. However, when installed correctly, the fly actually does a very nice job of preventing this anyway.
3. The angled poles on the sides gives it a much roomier feel. The first time you set this tent up, it will be a little difficult to do, but once you get the hang of it, will go up quickly. Set up correctly, this tent has survived the same severe wind and rain/snow conditions that totally ruined my Tetragon 11 in Canada.
JOHN F The tent has a bag for the stakes, a duffel that everything fits in. if you stow it properly even the ground cloth will fit in the bag. The ground cloth should be about 2? shorter than the floor, so if the tent is 9? x9? the ground cloth should be about 8?10? x 8?10?.
KIM B Yes, it included a drawstring bag for the tent and one for the poles and for the stakes. The foot print is 9x9 so you should use a ground mat slightly smaller, ideally 8x8. I could not find one that size, so I just fold the one I have along two of the sides so that no part of the mat is protruding from under the tent. Works fine!
JEFFERY D The tent comes with a bag for the stakes, one for the poles and they all fit into the bag for the tent and fly. I have not measured the ground cloth I use.
MONICA R Yes it comes with a duffel that is actually easy to get the tent back into. Small separate bag for stakes. Your ground tarp should not extend past the edge of tent in case it rains (otherwise water will run under your tent). If its bigger than the footprint of your tent just fold it under! I really love this tent. Great quality. Nice vestibules.
Harry L If you don't use the rain fly with this tent, can you close the side window and door screens somehow to prevent someone to look inside the tent?
KAY S It does have inner window liners, though the top would be exposed without the rain fly. There's really no reason to not use the fly. With the nice top vents, it actually stays cooler with the rainfly on. Its a great tent.
Harry L Thanks Kay. It is amazing how many people know this tent. We have it set up in the meantime. It seems to be a great tent. Regarding the rainfly: You know, there IS -at least for us- sometimes good reason to not having to put up the rain fly, such as a warm starry night in nature, on the move towards a destination far beyond, so you don't want to a) miss the stars, b) take so much time to put up the tent, and c) use much time to put it down either. We are happy with the covers.
Take care,
Harry
JEANINE W Yes, the windows have privacy flaps on the inside that fasten with toggles. The doors have zippered window covers. No need to use the rainfly for privacy in this tent!
RYAN R Yes. Both doors have a privacy panel on the door that you can zip shut. The two opening on the sides of the tent have removable panels that you can attach on the inside for privacy.
JOHN F Not entirely. The top of the tent is screen as well. With the side & door panels in place you will still have the top portion of the tent exposed. Personally I don't know why anyone would use the tent without the rain fly. The sides can be rolled up & the top rainfly is vented allowing very good air flow. If privacy is needed, simply put up the side & door privacy panels. I have several other high end tents & this one is still my favorite. Very well constructed & versatile. Ventalition is excellent with many other details not found in more expensive tents.
HEATHER N There is privacy even without the rainfly. There are window coverings on the inside for the two side windows, but they do not zipper shut. The doors' windows zipper shut. This is a great tent and is very easy to set up. The rainfly velcros to the tent half way up and stays secure even without staking or lining it. This allows you to roll up the sides of the fly to allow more air during the day and then just drop the sides at night.
SCOTT H yes, there are zip off panels inside the tent to close all the screen sections of the tent
Harry L Thanks very much, Scott. I'll order it.
H.
JOSEPH H I used this tent for a few days back in June (Maryland area). It is roomy and privacy wasn't a problem - granted people nearby will be able to hear you because the two large vents on the bottom sides cannot be closed.
Using the rainfly is a must for several reasons: a) its size and complexity is such that storing it is not easy/impractical; b) two people are needed to properly line the rainfly with the tent (plus velco straps used in several places), and c) wind protection. The tent doesn't hold heat well - or rather the large side vents remove heat effectively.
To answer your question though, both doors have privacy screens. The large side vents can be blocked (not zipped though) using the detachable panels, but air will push the panels in by 4-6 inches usually.
SUSAN W There is complete overlap on all openings, so, no, no one would not be able to see inside.. However, at night with a light inside the tent, you would still be putting on a "shadow show". I found it very effective for ventilation to roll up the sides of the rain fly and secure them with the attached toggles. It only takes a moment to drop them for foul weather, and the rain fly gives you a front and back vestibule for extra storage.
SANDRA H Yes, there are covers that go over the screens and doors, no one can see inside the tent. I truly love this tent. It holds up really well in windstorms, and last summer we were in a number of heavy rainstorms, 3 inches, and we stayed totally dry inside the tent. Also the vestibules are so large, you can store many items in there. I could even store my bike in the back one to stay dry. We use two cots in ours, and plenty of storage under the cots then as well. And it's tall enough to stand up in. My husband is 6'2". Even with the fly on, you can roll the sides up to have ventilation with the screens, thus giving you more shade on top. If u have fan in there, that is nice to at night if the air isn't moving. If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to answer them. I don't think you will go wrong on this tent. WE LOVE IT...WISH I HAD GOTTEN THIS TENT EARLIER!!!
Harry L Thanks very much, Sandra.
This was very informative and exactly what I needed to know. Including the information about the inner vestibul for even storing a bike. And the hight is an issue with me, so no worries any more. I'll buy this tent today!
Harry
WALTER C I think the rain fly is needed for that purpose. The tent itself is a very good one, I have owned 5 and this is the best so far. With both end of the fly open the tent stays cool. A little more time is needed to put the fly on the tent but worth it.
ERIC W I purchased this very tent back in May. To answer your question, The door screen windows do zip shut for privacy. The large side windows do not zipper shut, rather they have a large fabric piece that attaches to the interior tent walls to obscure the view. They do give you privacy, but do not offer an air tight seal.
Harry L Thanks, Eric,
this was very helpful.
Harry
KIM B Yes, there are covers on the doors and windows.
The only mesh which do not have covers are 2 triangular
sections on the ceiling. So the only way to see through those
would be to stand next to the tent and look down through them.
Harry L Thanks, Kim,
this was very helpful. I think I'll buy this tent.
Harry
KIM B You're welcome Harry. I'm actually camping out and in the tent at this time. Second trip I have used it and am very happy with it. First trip we had tropical storm rain and high winds and the tent held up and not a drop of water inside. The temperature was in the high 80's and the ventilation inside kept it comfortable. Second trip we were down to the upper 50's at night and with all the flaps closed were able to stay warm. It can be set up by one person in about 20 minutes or less. Enjoy!
THOMAS H Yes, there is an inside cover for both doors and windows.
SHELLY H Yes you can close it up and no one will see in if you don't use the fly. Inside the tent are windows at the bottom and they are not closed by zippers but are fastened by loops. So the breeze comes in a little.
Harry L Thanks, Shelly,
this was very helpful.
Harry
JOHN C Yes. The front and back entries can be zipped up and the side ventilation screens can be blocked by a solid fabric closure that is fastened with toggles in loops.
Harry L Thanks for the info, John!

The Eureka! Grand Manan incorporates a new concept in tent design providing moreuseable floor space. The lower portion (the bottom 12") of the walls is straight, eliminating the unusable space where the walls meet with the floor, maximizing the floor area. Additionally, the sides of the fly roll up from the ground for optimal airflow through the tent. The Grand Manan is a dome tent withfiberglass poles and two D-shaped doors, and has outdoor vestibules for shoe andgear storage.
