I've always used a UK 1200 night diving, I like the wide beam and the bright light it gives off. I decided to try the UK like cannon and I like the way the light beam penetrates through the water column. It's not as wide of a beam but I am very happy with it.

I got the light as a gift and I have not used it on a dive yet. It is solidly made (lens, housing and switch). This is a very bright light and it is heavy (which I think is a plus). The handle is hard to screw down unless you have a extra long screwdriver. My wife went to move it and it bounced on the tile floor due to a loose handle, it worked fine. After the drop I submerged the light in a 5 gallon bucket of water for 30 minute and there no leaks. The LED housing is tricky to line up but has a tight seal when screwed down. I put on 3 mil gloves and it was easy to operate the switch. Overall I feel that this is a high quality light and I cannot wait to use it on a dive.

Great light, no problem with the switch. Beam is perfect for Spearfishing and catching bugs.

A good light is required on most east coast charters. and just about every diver uses a light cannon.

I ordered a HID light. I received this light because they were out of HID's even though their website showed the HID's were in stock. It is a good light but it is not an HID.

The cost of the Light Cannon, including the shipment and taxes still made it cheaper for me to buy from the US rather than anywhere in Europe and this site had the best price by far. Shipping took 4 days. The tracking system from UPS Express tells you exactly where it is and it arrived extremely well packaged in a large box with plenty of protective air cushioning. More impressively, the Customer Service is outstanding. The responses to my emails were always prompt, accurate and did not require any chasing. Absolutely hassle free! I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the interaction I had with the customer service people.

Pros: - Much lighter than my UK400 was. The light output for the size is amazing. Worth the extra cost, in my opinion. - A TON of lumens. Low mode puts out plenty of light for looking under shelves/rocks. High mode is wonderful for early morning or night diving. - The beam is well focused, and I like the color temp of the light. Cons: - The power switch is not the best. There's no solid lock for the three modes(low, high, off), so I find myself having issues turning it off at depth, even after only five dives. If it gets any worse, I'll be making a warranty claim. I like the switch on my old UK light much better.

Puts out a lot of light even on low power, well build. I like switch that locks in place to prevent accidentally being turned on. Been diving since 1974 and love to dive at night. One of the best lights I'v owned especially for the price. You wont regret paying a little extra for this light and getting a quality light with lots of power.

This is a great light and it is very bright. The only downside is the size and weight of the light are a bit cumbersome when spearfishing on scuba. It took about 5 minutes for me to figure out how to hold the light and regulator in one hand so that I cold read the gauges and hold the speargun in the other. The switch does leave something to be desired. It has a safety lock on the bottom that pulls out in order to toggle high or low beam and every time I turn it on it feels as though the lock will break but it hasnt.....yet.

Great light with a really bright beam and a decent amount of light outside the hotspot. Also seems to have a fairly nice natural color (maybe a little hotter on the blues?) The one complaint I have is that the handle design seems stupid. There is a screw to attach the handle, but there are no threads for it to go in to. It is just supposed to dig into the body, and this seems stupid. Besides that, I love it

Use it 3 times so far all in brown murky water and down to roughly 30 feet.Giving the conditions that I dove in I am extremely satisfy whith this purchase.Gave me around 8 feet vis when I normally would have 4 without a light. So unless you intend to dive in worst conditions that I just describe I totally recommend this purchase since it can only be better in clear water.

Bought two of these lights for my wife and I to take to Roatan during Christmas 2011. They were hands down brighter than any other lights being used. We kept them on low for the majority of the time since they were so bright. They are heavy but with 8 C batteries what do you expect. Get a coil lanyard and clip them to your BCD.

This is a great light. Worked on a week of night dives on one set of batteries. Hard to beat for the price.

This is simply the best dive light I have ever owned. It was the brightest light on the liveaboard. It was very comfortable to use.

I use the light for night snorkeling and general all around usage when I need a really bright flashlight. I like it, and I'd recommend it, but there are three things that detract. First it's heavy. This is probably unavoidable with the number of batteries needed for the performance it gives. Second, it's expensive, but diving/snorkeling is an expensive sport. And last, and worst, the handle attaches with a screw that digs into the main housing. This cheap attachment on a light that cost [$] is unacceptable.

Very Bright even on low power
By Steve
Puts out a lot of light even on low power, well build. I like switch that locks in place to prevent accidentally being turned on. Been diving since 1974 and love to dive at night. One of the best lights I'v owned especially for the price. You wont regret paying a little extra for this light and getting a quality light with lots of power.
In the tradition of the original Light Cannon HID light, the Light Cannon eLED delivers an even brighter illumination and maintains this brightness throughout the battery life. The beam is wide enough for scanning the reef at night or exploration of the interior of a wreck. Colored filters and diffuser filters can be inserted inside the light for incredible video effects. Using the dovetail handle attachment you can use either the included pistol grip or (optional) lantern grip (see SKU: UKTLG8). It starts with a unique dual power electronic circuit to control the matched pair of 10-Watt LED's. Its water-cooled heat sink actually increases brightness underwater and improves burn time. For maximum illumination the Light Cannon eLed Light is the perfect solution. Unlike the standard glass envelope lamps used since Edison, the LED will not break when dropped. The life expectancy is well over 5000 hours.
The light emitted by the LED (light emitting diode) is similar to sunlight and travels farther underwater than the more yellow light from an Edison lamp. In addition a power control circuit is built into the light to help maintain the same brightness throughout the discharge of a set of batteries. A tough O-ring sealed ABS and polycarbonate case with a front lens protected by heavy rubber boot, protects the components all the way down to 500' (152.4 meters).
The Cannon eLED Light is powered by 8 disposable C"-cell alkaline batteries (included), or if you wish to upgrade it with a rechargeable kit the SKU: UKTRKLC is available eliminating the need for replacement power cells. With alkaline batteries the light has a burn time of 9 hours on the high power setting and 14 hours on low. The Cannon eLED Dive Lights dual 10-watt LED's produces 825 lumens of brightness on high power and 530 lumens on low. The light provides a beam distance of 520' (158.5 meters) in high-mode and 431' (131.4 meters) in low-mode on land. The light measures 7.3" x 7.1" x 3.2" (18.54 x 18.03 x 8.13 cm) and weighs 36 oz (1.02 kg) with batteries. The Cannon eLED Light is equipped with a non-breakable locking switch that prevents accidental actuation when in your gear bag and also has a protective heavy rubber lens boot for drop protection. Light handle is a pistol grip design and comes with an adjustable rubber sleeved wrist lanyard. Light is available in multiple colors, comes with an owner's manual and is proudly made in the USA.
