Excellent as survival back-up or primary stove for survivalist, bushcrafters and backpackers. Collapsed size is smaller than an average adult hand. This stove requires 2-3 fuel tabs to boil 2 cups of water. Temp. and wind will affect cooking/boil times. When using wood/sticks etc. as fuel, stove is best used as a stable pot rest...for best heating results when using wood, build wood fire around outside of Esbit stove rather than inside. MMFDVA

Lightweight and handy item that goes in my 10 Outdoor essentials kit. I have used this stove on military operations and during recreational outings. It is very stable with a kettle or small pot and is best used for heating water or simple in-the-pot meals that don't require a long simmer. It is very susceptible to wind, so you will need to use a windscreen or use in a sheltered location (but not in an enclosed space!). It works with pretty much any brand of fuel tablet.
