This extremely thin shirt will do the job under another shirt, without the bulk of a true second shirt. I needed this for early mornings in Africa. For the record, it is way too thin to be worn alone,

I've been wearing these undershirts for many years and found them to be exceedingly warm, lightweight, and breathable. In extreme cold skiing, I wear this shirt under a thicker thermal wool, and top with wool without the bulk. During spring cooler days it is perfect under a nice blouse with no bulk, just warmth. It is great for backpacking in the summer--lightweight warmth.

Hi. I love this silk undershirt. Sometimes, at night, I perspire--and the waffle knit quality of this shirt keeps it from sticking to damp skin. Same quality works for vigorous outdoor activity--I think it does a good job of keeping one dry and warm. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!
