Hi, there - the Neo-Air Mini Pump didn't work so well on our Therm-a-Rest mats when we camped last week, but we will give it another try as we are going on another camping adventure soon - we'll give it another shot!

light weight but powerful enough to do the job.

Mini pump has worked great on 9 nights of backpacking. Not having to blow up an air mattress after a day of hiking is worth the small weight. I was concerned about battery life and carrying an extra but the rechargeable battery will do at least 20 inflations!

I have read the reviews. I have used this pump for about 5 years including the PCT. My wife and I use the same pump on our Neoair mattresss (the rectangular ones). We have gone as long as 25 days on the same batteries, with power to spare. It blows them up almost all the way, needing only3 or 4 blows from the mouth to get it very firm. This pump has become an essential part of our ultralight gear and I couldn't recommend it more. This little thing just plain works!!

Works good and as designed. It's compact and easy to pack, I roll it in the sleeping pad. Manually blowing it up was never a big deal for me, however I can fit it to the pad and do other things while this takes 99% of the inflation work. It would be great (5-stars) if I could use in on my wife's newer sleeping pad with the winglock valve.

It works well. It makes a high pitched whine in operation, but does a quick job filling my ThermaRest mattress. I didn't really I needed it. I had no trouble filling my mattress without it. I guess the idea of a cool gadget got the better of me. Now, I have another battery operated gadget to keep track of...

I use this product when I am doing section hikes of the AT. It is very nice to use this product and not have to blow up my thermorest mattress manually. It takes two to three minutes and I am ready to go.

I bought one of these after a coworker told me how nice it was to have his pad filling up while he did other things. I used it on a three night ski tour with my son from Lake Sabrina to North Lake in the Eastern Sierra. We both used it all three nights. We skied Mt. Darwin and camped on the east shoulder at nearly 13,000'. I thought it might have a hard time at altitude, but worked fine. I'd like to see it priced at about $25, as it's not a very complicated device and not as high quality as it cold be. I don't give a five star rating unless I'm super impressed with all aspects of a product. This seems like it could be built a little better. The mold halves didn't seem to line up as well as they should have and the fit of the battery cover is mediocre. I hope it lasts. It just doesn't have that quality feel. Do yourselves a favor and use lithium batteries. I've used Duracells for ages, but Everedy has a lithium series that last a long time and weigh about half as much as alkalines. You could even use two of your headlamp batteries and just put 'em back after filling your mattress. A rechargeable version would be nice so a solar charger or battery bank could be used.

Liked the small size of this pump when I received it, but I was hoping for big air to shorten the time to blow up the mattress. The pump works fine, but it is not fast. It allows you to set up your tent while your mattress is blowing up. My test to blow up my air mattress took about 3 minutes. I still finished it off with a few air breaths to get the firmness that I liked. Unsure about the battery life to amount of times the mattress can be inflated.

An ingenious product that works every time (providing your rechargeables are good!). Simple. Effective. Quick. Perfect for those of us who want the path of least resistance at the end of a big day in the backcountry.

Works great for inflating the DIY Packrafts and sleeping pads. I used mine in conjunction with a section of metal pipe to get a fire going on a soggy day at an alpine lake. Batteries last for quite some time.

My NeoAir All Season fell apart internally, the internal welded seams fell apart, all where the most stress had been when deflating the thing by rolling from the bottom. If this thing had a switch to reverse the flow and suck the air out, it would prevent this damage from occuring. A

I bought this to add a little more air into my self inflating pad during winter camping when it is cold. it fits onto any Them-a-rest pad nozzle and I would think that it would fit onto any self inflating pad nozzle. The drawback to this is that the battery compartment cover does not screw in place and my cover is now lost somewhere in my camping gear. They should add a screw to the battery cover.

I bought this as a car camping luxury as I was finding that i was going very lighted headed from inflating my neoair by breath alone. It's a bit noisy and slow to inflate the mattress but gets there leaving me to get on with setting up camp or cooking. I found the rubber nozzle sometimes comes loose, so make sure the mattress valve is well inserted and keep an eye on it. Making sure your mattress is laid out and able to inflate without obstruction helps too. If you've space to pack /carry and the cash to buy its a nice luxury. If your going light and skint don't bother

I use various Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads throughout the year, both motorcycle camping and hiking. The NeoAir XLites are great, but are not self-inflating, and can take 20 to 30 deep breaths to fill completely. Before getting the NeoAir Mini Pump, at higher altitudes, filling the sleeping pad could be a chore that left my flat-lander head spinning (more than normal). Now, when I set up camp, I just hook up my Mini Pump and walk away to work on something else while the Mini Pump does its thing. It's a time saver. Very easy to use, standard AAA batteries last me two full weeks of camping, if not more, lightweight, and doesn't take up any more room in the pack than a granola bar.

Owned this for about a year and a half. Works great to pump up an air matress. Light weight, but not if your going ultralight of course. Batteries last plenty of time for about ten+ uses.

I bought the NeoAir Mini Pump June 2016 for an immediate trip to Philmont Scout Ranch for a 12 day backpacking backwoods trek in the mountains. 12 nights around 8500 feet above sea level. Used two AAA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. One night forgot and pump ran for 90 minutes. Coldest night temp was around 50 degrees. Unseasonably warm trek. Pump worked very well every night filling my NeoAir serial number F2712124 bought for trek in 2012. Fills mattress fairly fast as compared to the manual method. A couple of minutes and you are good with no additional inflation required. I'm not big on wind so this lightweight pump is worth its weight in gold as is the mattress. Both are heavenly! Cheers and thanks to Cascade Designs for great products. 50 years in scouting and counting on my Therm-a-Rest.

I have been using it for a couple of years now. Best little gadget ever, no more dizzy spells blowing up mattresses after a long day of hiking or paddling. Anyone around always wants to borrow it too. The batteries last a long time and I rarely have to change them.

I have been working real hard to get my base weight down to 10 1/2 pounds. But then last year on the John Muir Trail I was not looking forward to blowing up my XTherm at 11,000ft plus after 20 mile days. At 61 YO with blood pressure meds that can make one a little dizzy with exertion at low elevations, it was such a pleasure to set up the NeoAir mini pump and have my XTherm ready to hop on in less time than it took to get my tarp set up. At 65 grams, it easily powered inflations on my 11 days on the JMT, adding a few extra manual puff myself for fine tuning. The same batteries have been in for a year and still blowing up pads for my family of three. The pack weight for this unit is offset by the dual purpose of being backup batteries that also power my Fenix LD02 flashlight. And my wife doesn't complain now when she gets the detail to blow up pads for us while I'm setting up the tent & my son is firing up the stove, which is almost worth the weight in gold. Yes this could be considered a little fragile but all my ultralight gear needs to be treated with great care so this hasn't been an issue.

I have been using this handy little item for over a year now. I was concerned about the price per utility factor when I first bought this, however I was also tired of inflating mattresses and was also concerned about putting all the moist air into my mattress from inflating by mouth. I now do not regret the price whatsoever as it has been such a positive addition to my pack. I liked this idea better than a "pump bag" as those can be hard to use inside a small tent when the weather turns foul....
