Nicer than a trash compactor bag for lining my pack as it is sturdier and can secure the top closure, unlike plastic bag. At night I will place my entire backpack into the bag and leave it in the tent vestibule to protect from bugs and critters. When at home the liner makes an excellent storage bag for my down quilt- large enough to let the quilt retain its loft, and the bag can be hung in the closet. Definitely recommend.

Love the pack liner because it fits my pack perfectly, will keep my gear dry, and is reusable. The only negative is the little tabs on the Velcro closures. The stitching is not sufficient and the tab came off after 2 uses. Sea to Summit sent a replacement pack liner and both tabs came off during my first BP with it. Need more robust stitching on the Velcro and tabs!

With this liner I can stuff all the gear that I can?t get wet inside then secure the top. I?ve tried the individual sack route, I cut out extra weight of all the sacks and my pack is easier to load all my hunting gear now with the liner.

I order from Sea to Summit because Amazon didnt have the small pack liner. Order shipped in short order but for some reason USPS decided not to deliver it for 12 days. 12 days for 3 day priority! Well it wasn't Sea to Summits fault but their customer was non responsive to emails. Anyhow after getting the liner it is well made and just what I wanted. I got the small for my ULA Curcuit and it seemed big at first but it folds over the top allowing you to easier load the pack. Pack Liner 5 stars......Customer service 3 stars.

you don?t use a pack liner, you should. Dedicated pack liners are more user friendly, more durable, and more environmentally sustainable. In my own research, the Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil liner is the best so far that I?ve found on the market. Ditch your trash bag and shell out the $40 and get yourself a pack liner, you won?t regret it. Bag is very lightweight and worked great in a backpacking trip through the rainforests of Olympic National Park. All the contents stayed dry and it was easy to take it out of the pack and toss it in the tent at the end of the day. Eliminates the hassle of a less effective pack rain cover.

Lightweight makes it great for backpacking. Use a heavier one of weight isn't important.

This product is 99% percent perfect. The only MILD objection I personaly have with it the closure arrangement. While it is neccessary to keep it water proof, it gives it a clumsy top as a closed conclusion. Not really a big deal.
