I backpack. This was a dream to carry, virtually invisible to carry. Second night out ,zipper malfunction. Fortunately I was able to pinch it tight and get it zipped. Climbed over each other the rest of the trip. Condensation was awful. 30 degree nights and 2 people equaled drips on face and damp down bags. The velcro was not ideal but held in 30mph winds. The fabric feels very delicate. Overall , as a long term and dedicated msr purchaser, I am not thrilled. This said, a few more trips, a zipper repair, and I may upgrade my opinion. This tent is for a dedicated ultralight packer who is polite and respectful with their gear. If you are not, go with a hubba. My old one is at least 10 yts old and going strong. I will still purchase msr as they stand by their gear and are always easy to deal with.

My wife and I used this tent on a weekend in Arkansas and a 7 night trip in Grand Canyon NP. We zip our sleeping bags together and with that bit of space saving found the room adequate. I'm 5'11'' and when I sit up my head brushes the top. The biggest weakness of this tent is the rainfly. The vestibules are each closed with two metal hooks and a few pieces of velcro. I have not been able to figure out a way to close them without leaving large gaps through which wind and rain could pour in. I'm not saying it can't be closed securely but so far I haven't been able to do it. It takes careful positioning of the rainfly pegs to keep the fly from resting on the tent body. With this weakness I would not take this tent above treeline. I don't find the non-freestanding design to be a problem. Freestanding tents must be staked down or they'll go off on a trip without you.

When you're traveling fast and light and need protection for 2 during your 3-season camping excursions, consider the MSR Carbon Reflex 2 Tent. In an effort to cut back on weight, the fabrics are all lightweight, the poles are carbon fiber, and the roomy vestibules are zipper-free. There's even a fast and light setup when you use just the rainfly and the optional footprint (sold separately). The canopy is made of micromesh to give you maximum ventilation and to offer moisture control, and you'll be plenty protected during inclement weather with the seam-taped rainfly and bathtub-style floor with DuraShield waterproof coating. A simple, non-freestanding design, the Carbon Reflex 2 Tent offers great headroom thanks to unique pole construction, and the twin doors let you get in and out of the Carbon Reflex 2 Tent quickly and easily. The stress points are all reinforced to give you extra durability to get you through season after season, and convenient internal mesh storage pockets make it easy to stash your gear out of the way at bedtime.
