This is one of the lightest most versitile daypacks i've used.If you use a waterbottle or bladder it can do it .Plenty of mesh pockets and the lid pocket works nice for essentials that you may need in a hurry.Good for light loads as shoulder straps are only lightly padded but still comfy. all in all a great pack .

When you want an ultra lightweight pack chock full of features perfect for sides hikes or just general day hiking, choose the Marmot Ultra Kompressor Pack. Combining comfort with technical features that make this pack ultra versatile, the Ultra Kompressor Pack has a roomy hood with a lid pocket that has a mesh pocket with a key clip and three points of compression straps that let you get just the right load adjustment. A removable webbing waist belt and ergonomically designed, breathable airmesh shoulder straps and back panel give you the comfortable fit you need for a day on the trail, and the durable nylon ripstop fabric accommodates a wide variety of terrain. A hydration port and clip lets you hang a reservoir for plenty of water on your trek, and plenty of mesh storage pockets give you options to stowing gear. A double tool or trekking pole attachment keeps your gear close at hand, and daisy chains let you lash on extra gear.
