My Phantom 45 serves as my primary sleeping bag, but it's not warm enough for high altitudes and colder months of the year. Hence the NEW purchase of a Phantom 15. This is a light and warm mummy sleeping bag. It's a close fit, but I don't need to wear a down coat to bed any more and I'm comfortable all night. In the tent it's good to almost zero degrees with expedition long underwear and my quilted warm up pants and jacket that I wear around basecamp. Add a little more range with a bivi bag inside the tent. This sleeping bag is durable and well made. Don't let the gossamer thin nylon fool you. It's completely up to the task and and after weeks in the backcountry I have no snags, rips, runs or tears in the outer cover - nor the inner. Weight means everything to me and the down treatment seems to work since I did NOT experience any loss of loft went things got damp. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone who needs a few more degrees in range, but didn't want to go full winter or expedition bag - it's great for mountaineering. Mountain Hardwear has done it again.
