we used 2 of these poles to support the Noahs tarp 16 for 9 days in S Dakota last week and they withstood some wicked winds!!!! Need to order a couple more but they're out of stock. I'm a new lover of kelty.

Fast shipping and a quality product.. definitely go with the adjustable poles as the standard ones just don’t have the height u will need

Worked well as needed. Paired with the 16x16 Noah’s Tarp.

Worked as expected. I cannot speak to how durable these will be as they have only been used once. 4 stars because this item is overpriced.

Wow this is an excellent buy. Terrific item quality. Versatility in the adjustable length. Beats the crap out of the Kelty poles that came in my oldie but goodie Kelty Car Tarp.

Adjustable poles are nice sturdy, still. Wondering what the longevity will be. We live in Colorado with high winds, camping and hunting this summer and fall will be a good test to the product. Happy with them so far on the beach in Florida!

Tough and versatile the Kelty Adjustable Poles are the perfect addition for our Noah's 16 Tarp to best enable us to sea kayak/ camp, explore & enjoy Ontario's (Georgian Bay's) 30,000 glacial swept islands where natural shade & protection from the elements are key.

I'm not complaining about my camping experience with these stout poles, but quality assurance sure is lacking when it comes to color description and your pole's new manufacturing source. That's the reason for the four stars instead of five. COLOR: The photo on your website shows a yellow gold pole. The first pole I purchased last year was an anodized bright, and highly visible orange, and the pole I received on today's order arrived with a brown & "bronze" color. Not a very good match. I really liked the bright orange pole for it's visibility. I also noticed that you must have recently changed your manufacturing source to Vietnam (labeled as such). MANUFACTURING: The top grommet shaft on the bronze pole is a straight pin verses the bright orange pole's champhered pin. The champher allows the Noah Tarp grommet to center itself and securely rest on the tapered shaft whereas the straight shaft on the bronze pole allows it to wiggle around and wear on the grommet 's inner edge. I corrected your error by slipping a domed rubber faucet grommet over the shaft, thus allowing the tarp grommet to center itself on the shaft. My original orange pole had a black plastic reinforcement sleeve located at the top of the lower adjustment pole section. This aided me in gripping the pole to adjust it's length. The bronze pole has no reinforcement sleeve. IN CONCLUSION: The bronze pole design and workmanship shows where the new manufacturer cut corners to produce a "look alike", but lower quality product. KUDOS: A plus for this order was that the bronze pole came with a webbed pole bag with a Velcro'd top closure flap and it is roomy enough to hold both of my Kelty tarp poles. Last year the bright orange pole came in a cheap plastic sleeve. Shipping was first rate - NO DAMAGE.

Wife and I used the poles recently on a weekend river camping trip. Very pleased with pole stability, length, and tension ability. Used to support solar lanterns and clothing lines. Planned to use with Noah tarp but did not need to due to tree cover. Glad I purchased a set. Thinking I might buy another set.

Great product at a good price. Lightweight, strong and adjustable. I used it with the Noah's 20 tarp, Basecamp Guylines and received the steel stakes as a free product. The system worked like a charm and held up perfectly in moderate to high winds.

Many poles are not tall enough to give you head room underneath. This one is. I am 6 2 and have plenty of room. Sturdy and lightweight.

Used them for the first time this weekend. Worked great! Height adjustment came in handy to get tarp at the proper level over the tent area. Very stable and secure, cannot see these bending under any normal storm. Used to support a Kelty Noah’s Tarp 12.

Great quality in a heavy-duty pole. Color more of copper -approaching brown. The pole came with a stuff sack (unlike past reviews from others, wishing it had). Using as additional poles for MSR Zing tarp

These poles are useful for so many things I bought a couple extra. The color makes it visible so I don't trip over it.

Most of the poles I looked at did not adjust high enough to let you stand comfortably under them. This held up well in a fairly strong breeze. I recommend it

I am quite pleased with these poles. They are study, well-made, and easy to use. I got the best price from Sunny Sports, and they shipped the poles quickly.

The poles are massive. Takes up too much space on a motorcycle but manageable on a kayak or car. Very sturdy and well thought out. The price is for one pole. Suggest purchasing two.

Set up the Noah 20 tarp for threatening skies and rain. The tarp was complimented with the use of two Kelty Adjustble Poles. With winds exceeding 30 mph gusts, the rigidity of the poles worked beyond my expectations...We stasyed dry and continued into the night festival style under the security of the big top we created for the half century mark celebration,,

Bought these to use with my 16' Noah's Tarp. Very sturdy polls, quite pleased with the quality. Only used them on "car camping" outings so far but they're light enough to take backpacking if you can spread the gear (2 poles and tarp) across several packs.

Read reviews before purchasing so no surprises or complaints. Not for the ounce-cutting minimalists. Excellent for RV & car camping setups. Strapped to side of full sized backpack for hikers & canoe campers is doable. Agree with reviewer who suggested adjustments to less than its minimun lenght would improve versatilty. Tip: purchased a small KONG (dog toy) to slip over top spike for positioning in center of tarps w/no center grommet. SunnySports +++ on timely confirmations, S&H and delivery.

Great Tarp poles!
By Bluraven7
These poles are great. Way better than the pictures. They are very heavy duty. They adjust the height from the bottom. This makes it very easy to adjust the height when it's already up. I use mine with the Kelty Noahs Tarp 12. There are many configurations you can make with these poles and tarp. I have used this set up to cover a portion of my tent and as a annex in front of my tent.It works great. I have the North Face Meadowland 4 tent that I use with this set up.These poles make it possibl...
