Columbia Whirlibird Interchange Jacket for Women

Ive been looking for a long time to replace my 17 yr old Columbia jacket. Ive bought, tried on, and returned several high-end coats that just didnt fit the bill. I really like the Columbia whirlibird interchange jacket. I am 54, 130 pounds but I have broad shoulders and long arms so I need a size medium. In most coats, the size medium fits my shoulders but looks huge everywhere else. In the whirlibird, the medium not only fits my shoulders perfectly and the sleeves are long enough but it still has some shape in the body. My only complaint is that the hood is very small. The hood does not have any extra to hang over the front of your face to protect from rain etc. that was one thing I always liked about my old jacket. There wis plenty of room in the hood to extend around the face. Wish it were the same for the Whirlibird. I would recommend this jacket especially if you dont have to fit the hood over helmet.

Jacket is wonderful and fits snugly but unlike the older Columbia jacket I have, it only has the zipper. So if you put on a slight tummy you won't be able to zip the outer jacket. The older one had buttons in addition to zipper so you could leave the last button open and will still be protected. For the young and trim, I would still recommend it.
