The double layer makes this jacket warmer than a single layer jacket. The outside chest pockets have one snap on the side of the flap. Maybe this means you can take something out eithout unsnapping it, but it would be nice to have a spot of velcro on the other side to make the closure more secure.

Great quality, very nice looking rain jacket. It has slimmmer cut compared to other popular US brands, has somewhat european look. I always wear size L, this jacket in L fits just right.

Bought this for a 2 week vacation in rainy Ireland. Perfect and dependable. Easily packed in my back pack and zippered pockets right where I need them. Additionally, the two front pockets snap securely to hold glasses and documents. Hood is adjustable and even has a little brim. Sleeves have velcro tab adjustments to tighten around writs. The fabric is breathable so I don't feel sweaty while wearing. This is a sharp looking jacket that performs excellent in rainy, windy weather.

The jacket was pretty much what I expected. The color(green) was what I expected and the workmanship was excellent. I thought it would be a little more substantial in the lining. This jacket provides no warmth,only rain protection. I returned it because it was much too small. I wear a large size in all my shirts and jackets. The large I received might have been too small for someone ordering a medium.
