High rating because it sheds rain for the lowest cost I could find. Just remember that, in a downpour, rain coming straight down at force will probably fall between your back and where the cover is cinched around the pack. All rain covers are susceptible to this. Oldsters used trash bags--so aesthetically pleasing (and unruly)! Heavy, heavy rain? Stay in the hut--or suck it up. Your choice. Other good points: simple attachment, soft material, supple, folds well into small pockets. Just yummy.

I was concerned about the three way zipper on the back. The rain cover kept the pack contents dry in heavy snow. Not sure it would have stayed dry without it, but that's what rain covers are for. Some subdued colors might be nice.

Great to do what is is saying it does. Protects pack from getting wet. Fits snug and is easy to sinch down. Also has a velcro tab that can be linked onto the pack for backup.

will have to wait till hunting 2011 season that is when I will use it on my back pack. I think it will work well for what it will be used for.
