U can literally never have enough. I’ve taken them free climbing on adventure routes and placed em with a fat biner as a hammer when nothing else was around. Scary aid becomes less scary

Awesome piece for mixed alpine terrain, lighter than a spectre and ideal in icy cracks (#3 and the #1 is the bomb on S Platte granite where nothing else will protect . If they could only get them back in stock

I have used a rack of these beaks on El Cap and the Fisher Towers. For thin cracks the confidence these inspire is amazing. Super solid in those thin cracks that nothing else will work on. Additionally they are also a superb clean aid piece. A friend of mine took a 20 footer onto a handplaced beak that held and still cleaned quite easily! Highly recommend!

Just climbed 'Beaking in Tongues' in the Fisher Towers. I wouldn't have been possible without multiple sets of these. They work great in thin seams, and add confidence when things are getting sketchy. (I'm not allowed to name the actual product because it's 'inappropriate language' apparently.

Black Diamond Pecker
Let the Black Diamond Pecker hook your clambering predicaments away so you can reach the apex with cleanliness. Thin as a knife, the pecker features an offset double-tapered blade that holds solidly on rocks, without the debris. Ideal to use and convenient, it can be hand-set and cleaned quickly. Its blade has serrated teeth that provide strong extra purchase in soft rocks and ice, making it ideal for micro nailing use. It includes an integrated wire-cable sling that is strong enough and can be lifted out of the way for cleaning. The pecker is available in three wonderful sizes that offer a variety of options for advanced placements. The smallest size is ideal for tiny cracks; the medium size is great for sandstone granite routes, while the biggest is quintessential for mixed wall climbing. The bigger two sizes are also perfect for clean climbing, and offers additional usage for limited terrain. With the Black Diamond Pecker, there is now a solution to thin-aid lines where the clean climbing is a problem.
