Bought these poles for my 7yo son and he is one happy hiker. Same quality and feel as the larger poles I own (Trail Ergo Cork W. Also a good fit for shorter people. The only thing I do not like is the fact that there are no rubber tips that fit. The tip of the poles differ from all other tips that BD offers. That is why I give them four stars, and not five.

Great build. Nice small grips for little hands. The tips are built-in (can't be changed like the full sized poles but I figure they should last long enough. Worth the money for proper poles.

I bought these for guiding a young-ing and his father on a backcountry yurt trip and to add to my tools for future guiding trips. These are everything you’d expect from a bd pole. It comes with ski powder basket and hiking basket as well. The flicklok works flawlessly. They are durable, functional, and stylish.

If you are like me and start a hike with 2 poles and end up with zero due to children "needing" them, these are a GREAT investment. Simple to use, light, and bomb proof. My kids love them.

Bought these poles for my little guy at beginning of last season. Nice lite weight pole that is sturdy enough for him. Easy to adjust when he starts growing which saves me from having to buy new poles each season.

I've used these for well over a year -- on trail, on road, off trail, in snow and just about everywhere else. They are sturdy and would certainly be fine for kids, teens and us shorter people!

These are well-made and reliable. My son is 7 and they fit him well with plenty of room to grow. We use them for snowshoeing. Will use them for hiking. Could see them being good for skiing. Would definitely purchase again.

I haven't had a chance to use these poles yet either for skiing or trekking, so I don't know how strong they are, but so far I love them--better than the adult version that I bought last year. They are simple and lightweight, and assuming they don't fold under the first pole plant, they will become my go-to pole for everything. I bought them for myself, a 5'6" adult, and they are plenty long enough with some to spare. Good inexpensive alternative for shorter adults.

These poles are great for kids. My son uses these for skiing and they've saved me buying him new poles every year as he grows. He has been using them for 3+ years and will use them for at least 2-3 more years before he moves up to an adult pole. They are easy to adjust and pack down short for transporting to and from the mountain.

The poles are a Christmas gift so they haven't been used yet but they are a good quality product. The flicklock system is great for adjusting on cold days or in any weather. They have nice bright colors in a rattlesnake pattern. The tips are a little larger in diameter than the adult poles so should be good for gripping the ground. My Granddaughter is only 7 but should fit her hands better than the adult poles she has been using and will last her a long time.
